Admissions and Tuition Fees


How to Apply

  • Create an account on The Knowledge Hub Universities Application Portal

  • Once you create your account, you will be able to fill out your application and save its progress

  • You will be required to upload the following documents in order to be able to submit your application:
    – Official, or Unofficial High School Transcript
    – Birth Certificate
    – National ID, or Passport
    – Passport Sized Photo
    – Personal Statement as per guidelines set by Coventry University (Guidelines for Engineering and Computing applicants  Guidelines for Design & Media applicants)
    – Upload your IELTS Certificate: An overall IELTS Score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (UKVI, or Academic)
    You can upload your test booking payment voucher, or fill in the IELTS Consent Form and upload it instead (available under the application instructions listed in the first page in the online application)

  • Start preparing the following documents to be uploaded to your application after submitting it (if they were not ready at the time of submission):
    – Recommendation Letter from a relevant Teacher, School Head, or School Counselor, on your school’s letterhead with a handwritten signature and stamp
    – Students applying to Design and Media programmes are required to submit a portfolio as per the guidelines set by Coventry University
    – Copy of Proof of 11 or 12 Years of Schooling. (11 Years of Schooling accepted only for IGCSE students)

  • Once your application is submitted, you will need to pay an application fee of EGP 1,200 
    (follow the instructions received on your email once you submit your application)

  • Make sure all your required documents are uploaded before the deadline set by the Admissions Office

  • A Conditional Offer will be sent to applicants who have submitted their grades or unofficial transcripts, offer will include a list of all missing original documents and conditions to receive a Final Acceptance

  • Once the application is complete and all required documents are uploaded, it will be reviewed for final acceptance. Accepted students will receive Coventry University Final Acceptance Letter

  • American Diploma
    Admission Criteria

    Foundation Year Entry Criteria:

    Applicants applying for all degrees must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 based on all High School years.

    For Engineering and Computing:

    One Math course and one Science course are required to be covered during the last years of study,
    and English or English Literature are required from grades 9, 10, 11, or 12

    For Design and Media:

    One Math course is required to be taken during the last years of study,
    and English or English Literature are required from grades 9, 10, 11, or 12

    Year 1 Entry Criteria:

    Applicants applying for all degrees must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 based on all High School years, and a minimum score of 1100 in SAT 1 (no less than 550 in each band),
    or to take 2 APs with a minimum score of 3.0.

    For Engineering and Computing:

    One Math course and one Science course are required to be covered during the last years of study.

    For Design and Media:

    One Math course is required to be taken during the last years of study.

    • For Foundation Year: IELTS Certificate with an overall score of 5.5 and no less than 5.0 in each band (Academic, or UKVI)

    Admission Criteria

    Foundation Year Entry Criteria:

    Applicants of all courses must submit 5 OL subjects plus 1 AS subject, or 8 OL subjects with a minimum grade of C

    For Engineering and Computing:

    5 OL subjects must include Math, English or English Literature and a Science subject plus 1 AS subject in one of the Science subjects or Math, or 8 OLs which include Math, English or English Literature, and a Science subject

    For Design and Media:

    5 OL subjects must include Math, English or English Literature and any AS subject, or 8 OLs which include Maths, English or English Literature

    Year 1 Entry Criteria:

    Applicants applying for all courses are required to take 5 OLs with a minimum grade of C, plus 3 ALs.

    For Engineering Courses:

    Civil Engineering 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above to include English and Mathematics BBB-BBC to include Mathematics. General Studies are excluded.
    Mechanical Engineering 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above to include English and Mathematics ABB-BBB to include Mathematics and one from Physics, Chemistry, Design Technology, Further Mathematics, Electronics, Computing, ICT or Engineering. General Studies are excluded.
    Electronic and Electrical Engineering 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English and Mathematics

    For Engineering and Computing:

    Six subjects are required including one Math and one Science course.

    Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 25 points with a minimum score of 4 in Maths and a Science subject.

    For Design and Media:

    Six subjects are required including Math.

    Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 24 points.

    Applicants applying for all degrees must take a minimum of 6 subjects from Grades 11 & 12, with a minimum overall score of 60%

    For Engineering and Computing:

    The 4 subjects must include Math, English and any Science course.

    For Design and Media:

    The 4 subjects must include English and Math.

2020/21 Academic Year Tuition Fees Terms:

  • Payments for Egyptians can be either paid in Egyptian Pounds or the announced currency
  • Payment in Egyptian Pounds will be based on the Central Bank of Egypt announced exchange rate
  • A maximum of 10% increase on tuition fees will be applied annually
  • Tuition fees to be paid in two installments annually (1st installment for immediate payment upon receiving the final acceptance and 2nd installment by mid-December 2020)
  • Non-academic fees of EGP 10,000 to be paid annually with the 1st Installment of tuition fees
  • Lab fees of EGP 10,000 to be paid annually (starting from Year 1)
  • A deposit of EGP 5,000 as facility insurance – refundable at the end of academic studies if no damage occurs*Admission criteria for Year 1 will be announced soon.
